What should I expect from a Pilates Class?
The Classes are approximately 1 hour long with a maximum of 10 people in a mat class. The class size is kept small so that I can give individual attention to class participants. I will put together a class using a selection of the exercises from the Pilates repertoire. The exercises will systematically work the main muscle groups and concentrate on stabilisation, alignment and breathing.
As a person's understanding of the principles of Pilates and strength improves the exercises will be increased in intensity and difficulty. Even the simplest of exercises can present a challenge if done with thought and control.I will require you to complete a health questionnaire before you start your classes and if you are in any doubt whether you are able to exercise then please consult your doctor beforehand.
