Julie Brown, Nottinghamshire Pilates Instructor

Julie has always had a love of exercise and has been actively involved in both team and individual sports from an early age, partaking in County Coaching for Tennis and Lady Captain of her local Golf Club.

Julie is used to the stresses of everyday life having worked in the “City” since leaving school and culminating in owning her own Recruitment Agency in the heart of the City for over 10 years. On deciding to start a family, Julie sold her business and became a full time ”mum” to her children and to support her husband. Exercise never diminished however, believing in its ability to enhance your life and offer life long benefits. This love of exercise has passed onto her son who competes internationally at ice skating. Julie is actively involved in the training of her son and it was through his training regime that brought Julie to the benefits of Pilates both as a core strengthening programme but also as a whole body and mind connection. Julie completed her Pilates training and qualified at the renowned STOTTs Pilates™ studios in Oxford.

Jessica, Lincolnshire Pilates Instructor

Jess is bubbly and enthusiastic with a passion for teaching Pilates. She gained her level 3 Mat Pilates qualification with Modern Pilates in 2007, since discovering its lifesaving benefits a few years earlier after the birth of her first child. During this time she has qualified and worked as a Physiotherapist but has always continued to develop her teaching alongside her job.

She has run highly subscribed classes at David Lloyd for the last 5 years which have included beginners, intermediate and advanced classes as well as pre and post natal, men’s only and equipment classes. In addition to this she has developed small group clinical classes at her previous physiotherapy clinic for patients suffering from a variety of conditions including osteo and rheumatoid arthritis, replacement joints, chronic back pain, spinal fusions and discectomys amongst others.

Jess is excited about joining the team at Prime Movers and is keen to begin her classes and bring her knowledge and experience to its current and future participants. She believes in making her classes enjoyable and interactive to ensure everyone can develop and progress to fulfil their potential and achieve their personal goals at their own pace. Her ethos runs alongside PrimeMovers and she wants her class members to receive high quality tuition so considers small group numbers and individualising of exercises where necessary imperative. Finally Jess is looking forward to working with PrimeMovers for the long term.
